Race Night to support Fundraising Mini Adventure!

LYZ TURNER from Hollym is taking part in a mini-adventure to raise money for disadvantaged children – and has organised a Race Night in Paull to launch her fundraising!

Lyz, along with co-driver  John Rickard, make up Team 13. They will be driving a 1995 Mini Cooper to Italy and back in the Autumn.

Along with other mini drivers – who each have a passion for the classic cars made famous in the film “The Italian Job” – they will be driving across the mountains of northern Italy as part of the Italian Job Car Rally to raise money for the UK Variety Club Children’s Charity.

Each team’s challenge is to raise over £1,500 in sponsorship money for the charity. Lyz said: “We are covering all our own expenses, so that all the money we actually raise through donations is given to the charity”.

YOU CAN HELP Team 13 raise as much as they can for the Variety Club Children’s Charity by supporting them at a Race Night at the Humber Tavern in Paull on Tuesday 23rd August 2011.  Just enjoy a flutter whilst raising money for disadvantaged children! Sponsor  a race for £25 and get your name on the car all the way to Italy, buy a horse or train it for just £3 – and have a good night out as well! Get there for 7:30pm for an 8:00pm start!
