Continuing our brief reports on Humberside Fire and Rescue Service incidents in the area, revealing the variety of incidents attended to by Fire Crews:

A HORSE was rescued from water yesterday (Sat 30th July 2011) by a farmer and the Fire Service in Burstwick. The animal was extremely distressed by the incident and unfortunately died soon afterwards.

Fire Service personnel attended a water leak in a domestic property in Beck Lane, Keyingham in the early hours of this morning. Electricity and water supplies were isolated.

  1. rip charlie the firemen were great no farmer helped to rescue him and if the ditches were not so overgrown and steep he would have been found sooner and maybe still alive as he was missing for 10 days and probably in the ditch for that long, not being able to get out, even the fire brigade needed a ladder to gain access to the ditch,the sides should be stepped so animals and humans can get out if they fall in, thanks for everyone who helped in the rescue.
