Safe road crossing in St Augustine’s Gate?

HEDON TOWN COUNCIL is seeking the views of residents regarding a new pedestrian crossing in St Augustines Gate.

Previously, Councillor Ann Suggit had reported to the Holderness Local Action Team (see article) that suggestions for a pedestrian crossing on St Augustine Gate had not been agreed by the East Riding Council.

She indicated that local residents would be putting together a petition as they feel there is a definite need for one.

Contact the Town Council with your views on this at the Town Hall which is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm. E-mail or Telephone 01482 898428. See the Hedon Town Council website at:

You could also contact Councillors Mike Bryan and Allen Marshall on the Hedon Town Council Street Surgery on Saturday 23rd July from 10am – midday.
