CANCELLED – It’s Cricket – But not as you know it!

UPDATE: According to the South Holderness Cricket Club Website this event has been cancelled!

“It’s new, it’s never been done before, it’s gonna be different!”

A new form of cricket makes its appearance on Bank Holiday Sunday down at Middle Lane, Hedon. Wendy Swales explains:

South Holderness Cricket Club are hosting the very first 2:2 Cricket Knockout on Sunday 29 August starting at 10am.

What is 2:2 cricket? It’s a fast and furious game, with 2 teams, 2 players and just 2 overs. The action will take place on a specially prepared pitch with targets and scoring zones. Games will last only 15 minutes so don’t blink or you’ll miss it!

It’s open to all – and only one cricket playing member per team allowed.

The day will help raise funds for the Cricket Club pavilion rebuilding project which in turn will help the Club’s junior development plans. So come along and enjoy the day, spectators are more than welcome too!

If you would like to offer any help in organising or supporting the event, please contact Neal Everingham at the South Holderness Cricket Club, Middle Lane, Hedon.

If you’d like to take part then an application form (£10 entry fee) can be found on www.southholdernessccplay-cricket.com. They can also be picked up from the Club, or from W.P. Everingham & Sons Ltd. Monumental Masons, 69 Souttergate, Hedon
