BRIDLINGTON SEASIDE VOICES is the new community website for the East Yorkshire coast resort. The website will provide an opportunity for Bridlington residents and ex-residents to publicise what they like about Bridlington through words, recorded interviews, pictures and video postings.
Local history, entertainment and art will be presented via the seaside town’s very own new website by residents themselves.
Although the website is fairly new it has already begun to generate comments. On average only a small percentage of readers will leave comments on such websites, so Bridlington Seaside Voices has had a great start. See this example comment from Martyn Coltman:
Bridlington has a wonderful quality of life, for all ages. OK it has its problems, like every other city, town or village across the land – but it has tremendous community spirit and thousands of residents who are prepared to put their own time into making Bridlington a better place, every day, in all sorts of ways. The website is holding a formal launch over five days from Monday 1st March – Friday 5th March 2010 at the Bridlington Community Resource Centre. Staff from UK Online Centres and volunteers from the project will provide workshops for the community to learn how to write and post a blog, record and upload digital images, audio and movie files.
The Hedon Blog wishes Bridlington Seaside Voices all the best in its new blogging venture. News from the new website has been added to others from the local news feed on the left hand sidebar of this site (after Comments and Categories).
