The Hedon Blog has been keen to feature reports from the Humberside Police website.
Now we’ve gone a step better as the local police team has submitted this introduction to the services they provide:
The South and Mid Holderness Neighbourhood Policing Team is led by Inspector Woodhead, who is supported by Sergeant Towse.
The South West Holderness Ward area is part of the dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Team. The team are based at the Hedon Police Station and forms part of the larger South and Mid Holderness Neighbourhood Team.
The area is covered by the Neighbourhood Police Officer, Pc Pyle and Police Community Support Officers Adds, Foster and Wilcock. They are also supported by dedicated Incident Response Staff and a number of Special Constables.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team for the South and Mid Holderness area are committed to providing highly visible and effective community policing for their area.
This involves active engagement with elected members, community groups and partners to ensure that issues are highlighted and addressed with a view to permanent solutions being sought.
The neighbourhood team has forged good partnerships with local Parish and Town councils, Schools, Local Action Teams, Neighbourhood Action Teams, resident associations and many more partner agencies such as the Council’s Anti Social Behaviour team and Humberside Fire and Rescue.
We are customer focus led and are keen to listen to the public at various forums, meetings and surgeries and encourage the public to prioritise their local issues and then with partners we will problem solve the issues raised to the satisfaction of the all concerned giving feedback of our performance to relevant parties.
We are keen to listen to any member of the public who wishes to report local issues. I would encourage members of the community to either attend the Hedon Police Station, telephone 0845 60 60 222 or by visiting the Humberside Police Website www.humberside.police.uk
Many thanks to Sgt Tony Towse for this update.
