Graham Stuart, the local Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, has published the results of his survey of Hedon residents. In his “Holderness News Report” he indicates the top three issues concerning over 600 residents who responded, as:

  • Council Tax
  • Flooding
  • Anti-social behaviour

Air pollution, over-development and the amount of traffic on Hedon’s roads were three environmental issues cited by the MP who has pledged to pass over the results of the survey to responsible authorities.

On the Council Tax issue, Graham Stuart MP has expressed his support for a two-year freeze in the Council Tax as a recession-fighting initiative that would enable people to keep more of their own money.
